MoveOn.org continues to take an interest in my welfare. After assuring me before the election that I would be PERSONALLY responsible if Obama were to lose the election and urging me to perpetrate that same message on my friends, the organization now takes a kinder and gentler approach. That election having been secured for Dear Leader despite my lack of assistance, they seem to have forgiven me my sin and offer me absolutely free a sticker that commemorates this great occasion. The sticker shows the face of Obama lightly shaded half in blue, half in red (it’s a bi-partisan celebration thing), has a red and white banner with the wavy sunrise logo in its middle, all superimposed over a fuzzy picture of the President-elect addressing a throng of his admiring supporters. On the left side of the sticker is the word PEOPLE on right side POWERED. (As in people powered, get it?); and, oh yes, the words YES WE DID! at the top and November 4, 2008 at the bottom.

What a great souvenir of this historic event, one you can proudly show to your grandchildren. And it’s all so free. Of course at the bottom of the “message” is the casual mention that you are perfectly free to join the 4.2 million other “members” of MoveOn in making a contribution to continuing the vital work of this organization. So here’s the plan, folks: first we share the sh…out of people if they don’t vote for Obama, and then we offer them the opportunity to pour still more money into our capacious coffers. Let’s see, if only one of the ten who get this message “click here” for the free sticker and then “chip in here” and send in a ten buck donation that, let’s see, $4.2 million for the coffers; a nice piece of change for us to continue our work of intimidating wayward Jerry Roses.”

Thanks, MoveOn.org for thinking of me once again.
