As Rothschild watches an NFL playoff game and observes the heavily militaristic pageantry, he reflects that MLK’s words are as apt today as they were then, with U.S. troops stationed in 177 countries around the globe.

On MLK day, our likely GOP presidential candidate stands with Kris Kobach, the author of Arizona’s and Alabama’s racist immigration laws, at a campaign event in South Carolina.
Just watch these conservative politicians run around mouthing their commitment to “civil rights” in the same breath that they deny the civil rights of gay Americans and women.
Do they even understand what the term civil rights means?
In the 21st Century the Southern states still intend to try hard to hold on to the WRONGS from the past. Discrimination still exists but we must keep fighting for equality. Don’t speculate — participate and stand up & be heard.
