“SECLUDED AND SELF-CONTAINED OUTPOSTS STRATEGICALLY LOCATED.”

(Ephemeris 360)

The new face of U.S. military imperialism is the rapid development of these “lily pad” bases around the world. Not only are they “strategically located,” they are largely “strategically concealed” from public knowledge as the public is led to believe its stable of overseas based is being “downsized” even as these remote operations are putting American ”frogs” on lily pads throughout the world.

LONDON SECURITY: MAKING THE OLYMPICS SAFE FOR COCA-COLA.

(UK Independent)

Even as Olympics officials struggle to provide security for guests and athletes at the 2012 Games, a small army of uniformed Olympics officials are scouring the area to restrain those small enterprisers who would, without approval of the organization, associate their products with the event. A big event has to have “official sponsors” like Aididas and BP oil, you know, and to fulfill mulit-pound contracts with these supporters, Games officials have to ensure that “unofficial” people do not get into the “game.”

“TOM TOM” LOOKS AT TRAFFIC CONGESTION IN SCANDINAVIAN CITIES; AND DOESN’T LIKE WHAT IT SEES.

(Copenhagen Post)

The GPS manufacturer issues reports on Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and other cities and notes a rising level of auto traffic in all these cities. Remedies like “congestion fees” for travel at peak times are politically unpopular and public transportation flounders as alternate ways for people to get around. The classic “bicycle” way of moving about? Not even mentioned in these reports.

Quote of the day…

If Hillary Clinton was embarrassed to be criticizing the Laotian government for its shortcomings on human rights when she should have been prostrating herself asking forgiveness for the damage her country has done and continues to do to the Laotian people, we’ll have to wait until she publishes her memoirs to find out. Right now she’s too busy covering up America’s current “secret” wars.

Tom Gallagher, on Clinton’s visit to Laos and failure to address the issue of unexpended munitions left from Vietnam war era bombing.

  1. The 1,000 or more military bases in foreign lands around the globe are used strictly for protecting the God-given right of Americans to kill whomever we damn well please. There’s nothing to see here . . .move along . . .

  2. Amass wealth to attain a false sense of power (predicated by design to ensure materialistic gains), attain “power” to safeguard/protect “wealth”. In lay terms……”i’m going to cheat, lie, steal, and kill chasing things and hoarding money, then i’ll have access to buy better and bigger ways to lie, cheat, steal and kill, so I can protect my gatherings”.
