So argues former Assistant Treasury Secretary Paul Craig Roberts, following his interview on the subject for Moscow RT television. Roberts notes that this media, like most others, is focused on the issue of a ban on “assault weapons,” whereas the most credible evidence is that the children were killed by non-automatic rifles. By such focus, the media is complicit in covering up the fact that anything from a brick to an automatic rifle is an “assault weapon” if it is used in an assault and that it is not the weapon that is the real problem in criminal assaults but rather the state of mental health that leads human beings to assault other human beings.

New “industry report” is released asserting that unconventional gas production in the state “supported” 39.000 new jobs in the state in 2011.  Well, actually, only 4,200 were “directly” created while the rest were generated by….well, “supply chain” jobs in industries providing indirect support to oil shale development.
