Pelicans at Parque Marina preserve, Costa Rica
IT’S NOT EASY BEING A PELICAN IN COSTA RICA—NOR A PORPOISE NOR AN ALLIGATOR EITHER.
These animals, among others, are given protection in a Marine Park in Puntarenas from the hazards of their life styles (like water dives of pelicans) and of the human animals who sometimes harass them. A gated park provides a place to which pelicans can converge to receive snacks and medical assistance and provide educational opportunities for children in sea animal displays—including themselves—within their gated community.

If the “power of money” in politics ever needed graphic demonstration, this may be it.

BIG BARGAINS ON PURCHASE OF FORECLOSED HOMES IN ORLANDO AREA? NOT SO MUCH ANY MORE.
Though the trend in selling prices varies by localities, in general would-be home buyers are finding lesser bargains than might have been available about 4 years ago. This is despite the inventory of such properties on the books of lender banks remaining high. It appears that they are yielding to pressures not to “release” homes for sale at a pace that would create a “price massacre” on their sale.
